Back in the Saddle Again
Greetings y'all! Whew, what a weird journey over the last few years. As many of you know, I've had some health issues that make me especially susceptible to Covid-19 and undermined the mRNA vaccines' effectiveness. So bottom line, I've been locked down for about three years. So, I've been writing songs, singing them to myself in my bedroom, and getting bored spitless. But, hallelujah, a few weeks back, my docs released me to invite friends into our home, go inside restaurants to eat, AND get back out there and play music! I'm so excited. As Joni sang, 'Don't it always seem to go, that you don't know what you've got till it's gone,' and I plan to never take it for granted again.
I'm heading out to the Rocky Mountain Folks Fest Song School in Lyons, Colorado, tomorrow. I haven't been to the Song School for several years, and I'm excited to reconnect with some old friends and mentors and get reinspired in my musical journey. It'll be a much shorter trip this time around since we've moved to Colorado, and Lyons is just nine miles from my back door.
Talk to you soon! Paul
